Wireless Internet - Here in the town of Moncton, N.B. the downtown is now reconized as a free wireless area. Sit on any park bench or live close enough and you will find the internet at your door.
But what happens when you are outside of this downtown area. This is an invisible world, as when I was living in the old apartment I could see about 4 wireless sites.. Three with security access established and one open. Now I have moved across town and there is about 12 secure wireless coming up on my D-LINK window. The only one which is free is a DEFAULT and it is so over used (by everyone around) that it seems to be never working..
What is invisible is the fact that someone who had direct dial internet service has changed to a Wireless routier thinking they would get more better reception and especially be able to use the new portable. However, in not setting up the connection with security access codes; anyone can access and does... There more slow for them
What about, us who do not pay wireless and decide to use this free wireless.. Yes, we can go with the portable down town to the free wireless area... but there is an imaging invisible world..
Because so many, like myself are not paying for the internet and using an open wireless. When the reception is bad, they do as I did on Friday.. Call the local ISP to see about getting a line installed. Now they have a wireless connection... and not set up with security so I now have a new very good response wireless connection. How long it will last before all the others that were there before redefine their DEFAULT setting..
To the individual who just installed the new connection.. I say thank you and then go back to using it. (oh by the way.. this blog is being done on the free computer net service at the local library
