Spirit Visit or Angel

After the death of my dear Friend, Joannie, there is still so very much to do.
During her "Celebration of Her Life" I had taken several Videos which is intended for her son Ralph, who is in Alberta and could not be here.  Also many things to do on computer and plenty of e-mails to send. Important is the special recording of a dream which I promised to send to her Daughter when things quite a bit. So the thought of this blog and some meaning to that dream. Send to confort me by her.

Each of us have our beliefs. And because of our religion or lack of it, we all have suggestions of what someone should believe. In many religions, a  specific period of time is respected between the death and the burial.  I, personally believe the spirit and Peace giving abilities of the deceased are close to us for this short time.

Many years ago, in the 80s when visiting  my sister Francis in Pugwash River;  I saw my first  Spirit or "Ghost". Since then have believe in the presence of these spirits  Today, I take comfort in this belief that the spirits of love ones are  with us.

That day in Pugwash River, I was visiting a friend and as we all sat at the kitchen table talking in mid afternoon, I told her mother "You have a visitor,..Somebody just picked up the mail and is coming in the back door" She replied  "Oh, did you see him too" She explained that many other people had seen someone come from the Mail Box into the back yard.  She did not know who's Spirit people were seeing but usually was saw in the morning.. Yes that’s true. And, although a young man, I was not smoking anything.   Actually. since that time I have seen many spirits through the years and with the exception of bad dreams of passed people never fear them.

The reason I’m writing about this , is because while living alone here at the homestead; after Joannie had passed, I saw twice within minutes, an old lady sitting in a chair. Later, when I asked about the mother of Joannie kid's father (Mrs Laird); I discovered that before her death she had live many years withand her son and Joannie.
But more to the point of this Blog.  The last  night of my  friend Joanne's stay in the hospital; I sat up with her that night while she slept.   During that time, at about 3 in the morning, I  fell asleep for a few minutes and had a dream which was to help me handle  the  pain and anguish at her coming death.  In that short dream, there was a young girl who emitted a tone of peace.  During the dream, while being approached by this young woman whom I did not reconize; all my sadness and anguish  about the coming death of Joannie had passed. The dream had many other aspects, but the most important was the sense of tenderness and love.  After awaking from that 15 minutes nap, I took my iphone and walked down the hall to a visitor area and recorded it on the Iphone while I still remembered the details and the feelings.

As my wife, Gisele, knows, i take dreams very important and remember them in great detail.  So standing there in the visitor area, within a few minutes I had recorded the whole dream.

What was unique about this dream is that in the dream as I was climbing up a sort of stairway, there was this man  who was worried I would fall.  I joked with him not to worry and as I touched his Chest (in the dream ) to said to him to "be carefully and not get to worried  because he was going to have a heart attack". Those were my actual words I recorded on my Iphone.
At this same time, I am told around 4 am in the morning, Joannie's daughter companion was having heart problems and they had taken him to the hospital immediately; as  I was later to discover the next day He was even put on the same floor but in the opposite wing of the hospital.

Of course, I  did not know this  heart attack in my dream was actually happening to Joannie;s daughter companion of 50. It was not  until the next day when the daughter came to visit Joannie , her mother, that I learn of the incident. This would have meant nothing except immediately after having the dream, while it was fresh in my mind I went down the hall and record it the dream. I believe now and because I have promised a copy of the recording to Joannie's  other daughter Tammy. I beleive this was send as a gift to help Tammy with the passing of her mother and the pain which would come.

Another incident occured in those few days after Joannie's death. Her 20 year old Granddaughter was  having a very hard time with her grandmothers death and a few days after the death; she awoke from a spirit visit dream.  Her boyfriend woke her up  to stop her crying  and she told  him that she was visiting her grandmother at the Homestead; and after talking to her grandmother, she now was OK with the death. Of all the grandchildren, she was taking it the hardest and had cried for two days straight. Since having this dream the granddaughter has now able to handle  her grandmothers death.

Closer to home, in my wife family many years earlier, I had the same sort of problem accepting the death of my wife's uncle whom I had got to know closely as he lived in the same house and whom had driven us (teenagers) to various places.  In my wife family house, I saw His spirit in the  stairway of the house shortly after his death. I even knew it was him and the dream helped me to deal with his death,  As I conforted the grandchildren of Joannie, I explained how their grandmother, Joannie,  would visit each one of them in the near future to help them with their grief. The first to be visited was Hally because she found it so hard.

I believe strongly in these helpful visits to the grieving members of the family, and accept that not everyone will accepts this story.   I certainly was not thinking of this when I was sitting in the hospital with my dear friend.. It just happen.  That the Spirit of a loved one will come and visit  in time and help them handle their grief.

I was lucky,  with the death of my friend, because in her last week at home, I was able to help her, In those last days it was hard required making a big effort as I was the only one living at the homestead with her.  I got some peace and certainly less of a burden of lost. . Joannie was a loving person and even after death could not allow her grandchildren and children (and friends) to suffer and came in a dream to help.   As I read this blog, nearly 2 years later and I am at home because of the Coronavirus's country lockdown; I know this virus is very dangerous for me (at 75).

Believe what you want

Laughing at Stupid Things

Monday morning and I'm sitting here on the bench  in the local Outdoor "Base de Plein Air" park
In the "Base de Plein Aire"
with  the falling snow. It's a light sprinkling snow, so everything is white  amd with the temperature  about -10,  it is beautiful.

I am happy I came out in this  small storm because as I sit here I can see over on the ice rink , in front of me,  a couple of young parents pulling their child on the toboggan. It reminds me  of how when my children were young we did those things as a family. Gisele made me  work at being a good father and  I still see my kids at that age in dreams and memories. Life is great as a new generation replaces us in the endless cycle of parent n Kids.

The Christmas Card which I am reading from my family member, ( because I have promised that I would read one sentence  a day), has brought me to this place and quite moment.

This blog is about "Laughing at Stupid Things" because my Christmas card sender had talked about  happy times which she remembered sharing with me and her cousins. She comments how very much they laughed and how they enjoyed  time spend with me (their uncle who talked bad french) as kids.

Well I guess I never stopped making people laugh because on my bench in the photo is a black bag which  I took to the park with a lunch and a bottle of coffee. Yes as I dictated to the tablet on the park bench for this blog I had my coffee. As I dictate, for my blog,  here in the park, many people are jogging or walking by. I'm happy to be here  on the outdoors bench.

Of course I don't yet know the surprise I am to experience when I leave and go home on the bus later.  But I guess  now is a good place to mention it...  I didn't close the top of my coffee bottle tight, and while I was return home on the bus, I felt my underneath (bum) being wet. YES "WET" ???? No, at my age I still don't need diapers but I have over the years sat on a bus seat where a diaper did not catch it all.

Yes the bottle of coffee had open and all ran out over me. It had spilled all over me, and it after had run down into the single seat where I was sitting. Now, I am home on the computer, after walking in the cold with all the back of my pants wet and cold; (those pants are in the washer).  Sorry no photo available. ha ha  who would want to see a back view of me...(ass anyone) Being re-edited now....

As funny as this  might seem it's not very funny to the next person who's going to sit in that same seat on the bus. I told the bus driver, as I got off the bus that my bottle had open, but of course he won't do anything. Maybe he will report it on his Maintenance report. Today workers do the less they can.

In taking the above photo I had to put my tablet on timer and place it on a stump; so I guess this Christmas I will buy myself a tripod as a gift.

I thank the many people that have shared life with me and  allowed me to be  part of their life. God bless you all and Merry Christmas. (dictated from the park bench and then copied to this blog)

Winter in Moncton or Montreal

The Colder Maritime weather began to change the leaves of urban Moncton, It is that time to evaluate the winter activities  At 70 years old, each day is valuable and needs to be spend wisely. Last year, I tried to do a "Snowbird Retreat" and spend a couple of months in Longueueil,  south shore  Montreal, Playing Pétanque at the local Bouledrome and being around the family was great. Last year, I had to cut the visit short and returned to Moncton in mid November bwcause it is hard to find a room and not have problems with the conditions of stay..

Enjoying the sport, I could play a different type Petanque team game each week night and still do  a tournament on the weekend.. Petanque is much like my  summer sport of Lawn Bowls with a shorter lenght playing field but the same game objective.  Managing a team toward a win. Pétanque is the french version of Lawn Bowls and the canadian sport of Curling.
.
Bowling out of the Riverview Club of Manchester LBC, and not having a executive role, my  Lawn Bowls consisted of the provincial Interclub and a few competitions, When I was not at the greens practicing. I worked at the nearby public park to build a Pétanque court. The city of Moncton had planned to redo the Read Park and from June to late August their contractor had removed the Play Jungle Jim from near the woods and into the center of the Park.

A bike path was planned for the edge of the woods and as they removed the old Kids play area, I approached the city's planning and recreational staff to suggest that the Kid's Play area could be converted into a Pétanque area. It was agreed that this area's development would be delayed and I could work to build the Petanque court.

At this point, although Moncton is a bilengial city and the french Acadian make up a large percentage of the population, there was no knowledge of the sport of Pétanque. When I began talking to the city staff the word Bocce was often used. When it was explained that Bocce was the Italian game of Bowls as Lawn Bowls was the English game, and Pétanque is played all over france and Quebec; my reply was "Great Idea, but there is no budgeting for such a development"   When I told them that I would, with a few friend build the Pétanque court if they allow me the present Play ground material, it was accepted.

In the beginning the area of development was large enough to develop 6 Pétanque lanes of 4 meters wide. However, with the Bike path running so close to the Pétanque court and the need of a grassed area between this path and the Court, the size was decreased to two lanes. Final dimension of the court was 25ft by 50 feet. as myself and a few africian immigrants finished the boundries and began to level the playing surface.

At the end of August,, with the contractor finishing the development of the park, it became a question of wheather the city accepted my development or was it to be tuned into a grassly area.  Unable to contact the city staff who were on vacation, the contractor contacted the planning architect who accepted the new Pétanque court.  The gravel was placed and packed and  the landscape of trees and grassly area was completed.

I finishing the season with the Atlantic Bowls Competition in Prince Edward Island;.A four days of quality competition  was a big expense, which I decided to try as a retired sportsman. Well worth the while, and I understand why some fellow players travel all over Canada to compete  Also during the summer I had spend  a lot of my non-bowls time building the first Pétanque court which exist in Moncton. It was a good summer and now at the age of 70, I did not want to waste my winter with only a tuesday night pool commitments.

Returning from the four dauys of competition of the Atlantich Bowls in Charolettetown, PEI,; it was necessary to decide if I should keep my apartment or make some sort of move.. In March, seven months earlier, the furniace had broken and although I paid heating in my monthly rent of $650; there had been on heat.  It was not the first week of September and I  had told myself that if nothing had changed when I returned from PEI, I was going to move out of the present apartmernt..   Still no heat as I told the landlord in a registereed letter.

The decision was wheather to move to another apartment or completely closedown my my apartment, It all required the sameamount of work of getting a trailor, pack everuthing into boxes and finding help with the moving.  The difference was that if rather than finding another apartment, I just sold everything and kept the miniumn, I did not have all the problems of building another apartment. Also, not know what to expect for the winter seem too much as  the cold of April and May was unbearable with my artistas. So with Kijiji.com selling my livingroom and furniture, and a couple of yard sales it was decided.  Moving out and keeping only my clotghes and a few personal belongings.

The last day, was hard to put my books and VHS cassettes in a box and out on the lawn with the sign of "Free, Take what you want. A Donne". The car was filled top and even the roof rack had boxes and a "Spare Tire" as I drove out of the parking on my way to Montreal on Wednesday, 29th September.

My 1987 Callidac was running well with only 146,000 kilometers actual mileage, but was not starting regularly as my battery as due for replacement.  During thise first few hours between Moncton and Fredericton, I worried if the trip was going to be a trip of problems. My first Gas stop was before Fredericton and although the car had run good with the occational "Jump, jump" as the motor got worked into the trip,I was thinking I would probably be spending the night somewhere along the road.

In Northern New Brunswick,.as I began to climb into the higher elevations, the fog and rain became a continual part of the trip. The windshield wiper were not new but they did their job.  I was forced to keep my speed up to 110 as I followed the large transport and night began to arrive.  Between Edmondton, in the North and the Quebec border, the highway seem to be under construction almost all the way.  With the two lane hightway turning to one lane, left or right as we moved along; and then finally into two-way traffic and the continual darkearn light it was necessary to find one large transport and keep it in sight.

Using the 200 or 300 meters to the transport ahead as a indication of the changing direction of the highway and the changing construction; I followed a clearly light truck for the next 100 or 200 miles.  Actually, followed it right into Rivere de Loup and into the yard of the Quebec Highway éscales.  I had to finally squeeze between two cement balls as I passed the scale and went to the Tim Horton and Subway which was beyond the scales.

Quebec highway and finally the 20 or Trans Canada" was a welcome sight as it was wide and well lit.  At 9pm as I began to approach the edge of the St-Laurance and Quebec City I decided to call my daughter Lisa to give her news of my success.  The car was driving well and now into $200 of gas I had decided that Shell was the best performance gas.  The highway was almost empty and the car was rolling along at 110 and 120 and the music was just quite enough to make the trip enjoyable, although I had to stop somewhere and rest.  So using the Iphone, I called Lisa.  "Dad get a motel and rest" she suggested and offered to pay it.  I explained I had $500 in my pocket and that I appreciate the offer but it was not necessary.

With the Tim Horton stops for coffee I had found the trip agreable. Finally, I decided to pull into a Tourist Stop station at St-George de Bauces.  Well this was good and bad luck.  Good luck in that I had hit a bird in northern New Brunswick and it had broken my grille on the front of the Caddty.  If I had not stopped for this rest area, I would not have seen the damage and I would not have seen thath it would have fallen off.  If I had lost he grill which was not held by only one plastic holding area, it would have fallen and gone under the car and been lost.  I took time to use a cloth scarf to tie it into place and repair it.  Good for the rest of the tirp and certainly save a repair of over $200 as it would be hard to replace.

Bad Luck in that I could not sleep.  First, the Caddy was so filled that it was impossible to streach out and second, the two large transport of PIGS going to market was very ncuh noise.  The PIGS were fighting and like a barnyard extremely nosey.  I decided to try for Montreal.  I first thougtht I would stop at St-Eulalie where my inlaws lived but as I approached and saw that it was near Midnight, it was a mather of trying Drummondville.   Actrally, being in my home area,  I knew the Toursist Stops as they approached.  Finally just after Drummondville, I decided to go of the 20 and sleep.

Deciding to pull out a few winter coats and climbing up on to the Trunk I fould I had fallen asleep and was awaken bu myself snoring.  I felt good and decided to finish the trip to Montreal.  It was only an hour of highway and the traffic was almost none.  I arrived in Longueuil at 4 in the morning and decided to have breakdfast a t Tim Horton.  There I changed my clothes to the better pants and shirt which I would be wearing when I visite the new landlord where I would be sharing an apartment with my own room.

At 8am I called the number and finally knocked on the door and got to meet the land lady .  my room required that I enter my blankets and pillow and by 9:30 I was in bed a attempting to sleep.  Of course, if you hav forced to stay away while driving, it is nto easly to close you eyes and sleep.  almost as if you are goign to have an accident.  So I decided to go have a beer and that would help me sleep.  Yes it idd.  But at 9pm I awoke and knew that my sjgars were low aas i had not eaten much.  Also, I had not done a grocery and so feeling dizzy and weak, I went to to d grocery.  The container of milk I drak and the two candy bars gave me a lift as I took the groceries up the stair and into the fridge.  After a bowl of cereal and milk I was back to bed and settled in to Longueuil.

Over the next few days I slowly moved in my clothes.  Yers the Caddy is still filled and now a week later after visitin my friend in the hospital and a few night of Petanque, I am at the Library on their computer writing ths blog   Tomorrow, I will put phtots with ti and publish it.  Not yet made cotnact with my family and even writing this without my glasses...   " I HAVED ARRIVED IN LONGUEUIL"

Christmas Giving Cards and Happiness

As the second week of December  finshes and Christmas Day

Nice when all lite up
approaches; I can see Christmas in a couple of different ways,. First it seems everything is being projected as to when their activity or service  will be closed for Christmas, and then in January 2018 when the activity will be started
And most important,, this is the time when  family and friends seem to try to get together or to say hello to each other and if they can't visit, they at lease do  some sort of communication.

I was awaken by the doorbell yesterday and was thinking maybe I got a visitor. This was because one of  my friend from New Brunswick is travelling to Quebec City. Montreal and then Toronto by car.. They would be passing through Montreal at this time  and probably sleeping in Montreal so I went to bed thinking that today they might be visiting.. But it was the mailman  who brought me a small package and from the return address I was excited to see that it was from British Columbia which contained a package which contained  two small gifts and a Christmas card.

Christmas cards are common Christmas habit to some people but not me.  I don't think I received a mailed Christmas card for several years. ( Not counting the regular card from my wife)  Although friends, whom \I knew or lived with, seem to receive 20 or 30 of them.
Reads "You're A Blessing "

There are Christmas cards that are sent where the sender writes three or four words like "Merry Christmas|", "Season Greetings" or something else usually rather  short. But this card was like a  table side conversation that happens when somebody comes in and  sits for a visit. I could see that it was as if something had been said (written)  and then later something else, and then later something else. It was clear that finally she had to stop writing because all the white space for writing was used up. Where to start ??

So I got my first Christmas card in many years and after viewing the two full interior pages,  I read the first sentence I saw, which filled my eyes with tears as my heart , excited with joy, remembered the thing or time which was being told.  I could not read any more, although there seems to be so much I wanted to read.  But that one sentence brought to mind the love of the sender and a sadness as  it  reminded me of how some people were, in year past, and how much they have  changed and how family had valued me in the past.

The sender, who has had her own hard times of the past years spoke of how we all have experienced the  good time  But that one sentence spoke of memories that were as valuable as gold and  I could see and remember the sender  laughing as she was always laughing as a little girl.

I decided that her card was so valuable that I would read one sentence a day and cherish it. When I say cherish it. I mean to spend time thinking what was being said. Like if somebody was sitting at the table telling you  this thing and you know that the conversation is not going to end soon, If I forced myself to read the whole card at once, it would be over in 5 minutes;  and it might be a long time before I experience this level of happiness and memories.

So I will value it and after I have read every line and spend the day with that memory, I will find time to be sure  to answer the card and remember all the things  written as if it has been a visit and the conversation of a visitor at the kitchen table.

Thank You my dear sweet child of the past..  I love you too. You made an old man very happy and all this next fwo weeks will be a new experience as I read a new sentence. Probably in the outdoors on a bench.

God Bless,  The Christ Child be in you home and heart.

Storm slowly Passing Maritimes

The old 1987 Cadillac was loaded and packed Friday night with only bedding left for the evening sleep. The fifty-Centimeter Storm was just passing Longueuil and weather forecast was for sunshines for Saturday and Sunday.  What a great time to travel the 1000 kilometers from Montreal to Moncton N.B.
Leaving early Saturday Morning would mean I was travelling between two storms and the bright sunshine as I left suggested my decision was wisely planned.  I knew the Cadillac would be hard on gas and I had reserved $300 for travelling and had prepared sandwiches for the road.  With a few "Tim Horton Coffees" the trip should have been easy.  Leave around 7 or 8am and arrive 8 or 9 pm.

They say a cat can sense various moods of the owner.  Well, as I was within 200 miles of Moncton I was to discovered that I was not following the storm but driving into it.  It appears that a 100km/hr car travels faster than the weather and I was not only catching up to the storm but passing into the heart of it.  At Fredericton I saw a small amount of feather snow falling and felt that I had passed the worst of this snow storm, so I decided to continue on to Moncton.

With in the next 5 hours as I drove at 50km/hr and tried to get up to 70 km/hr I discovered I was on a highway which had been closed.  At first the snow plows were out and we passed the first on the Left and then a few minutes later, passed the lead snow plow on the right.  I say we, because my cat MinMin was sitting on top of luggage in the front seat with me. The Story was to get worst as within 85km of Moncton I am making the snow tracks on the highway and the side of the road sign reads "Next Gas 74Km".  I exited toward Sussex and within a few kilometers found the Gas Station. The last one for the next 74km.  My caddy was averaging about 5.5 kilometers to a liter of gas and I saw 75km as needing about 15 to 20 liters of gas.

My gas meter had been sticking for years but often on the side of empty. Often indicating empty when there was still a half a tank of gas.  Now it had been on Half for the last hour and I wonder if I had much gas. I though of my fill up in Woodstock N.B. and the distance I had travelled and I must have at least 20 or so liters left.  I drove into the gas bas to find it was closed.  No lights and the snow was a good 10 to 12 inches deep.  The Cadillac forced its way around the unplowed area but with a lot of back end slipping and fish-tailing.

I was now in the middle of no where.  I did not think I had enough gas to get to the next gas stop and I certainly could not go back.  There had been little to no traffic on the highway as I broke the path through 12 inches of snow myself and the occational Tractor Trailor  Train passed. (5 or 6 Tractor Trailors tight together)  I worried what would happen if I ran out of gas. Temperature had been at -24 and now here I was with the cat on a closed highway.  Yes the cat was sitting up watching out the front window as he could feel my concerns..

Like snow was being dropped on me from a small circle directly in front of me and making a funnel like spray of snow as it blew onto the windshield, I had another problem.  when attempting to clean the windshield with the window washer I discovered it got stuck and kept restarting the window washing after it had finished it for or 5 cleaning sweeps.  I said it will run out of water and then just be like a normal windshield wiper but that was not the case as it being too fast for nor windshield cleaning the wiper were not touching the windshield.  I was leaning over to the center of the window to look out of one of the clean hold.
The cat must have felt the worries I had as he was leaning against my arm and pawing me.  It is a long 75 Kilometers when you look at a broken Gas gauge saying you have a half a tank and you know if you run out of gas you are abandon on a highway where nothing has passed for over 30 minutes.
The road were so bad that even a Amour Truck (van) had pulled over to sleep instead of trying to drive the highway.  I stopped and went and spoke to the driver who said that the Truck stop was open at marker 423 which was about 38 kilometers from were were were (marker 385).  I drove into the Truck stop and my heart dropped as I finally could put some gas into the caddy.  I was only now 24 or so kilometers from Moncton and so decided on $20 or about 20 liters (94.5 cents a liter)

How much gas did I have in the tank ??  Well I arrived at Moncton and within minutes parked the car.  The next morning the parking was to be cleaned so I moved the car to the other parking area and back after the cleaning.  I only ran the car for about 2 or 3 minutes to warm it before moving it.  The next day I sat at home as another storm passed and in the morning of Tuesday, I went and started the caddy.  Leaving it running as I moved my friends car to the road, when I returned I discovered my car has stopped.  Probably too cold... No try as I would it would not start.  Out of gas.  Yes I had nothing left in the car when I pulled into the highway truck Stop because 20 liters at 5.5 km should have been enough for Moncton and plenty of gas.

I will post this without photos and tomorrow I will come back to the library and put some photos onto it.  Today, I will move into my room and park the car as I slowly unload it.

"Why are you so happy??"
I said undeer my breath to the Robin who sang for the last 30 minutes at my window.
I had forgotten why I had come home to the Maritimes.  The slow life,  happy with simple things. As I sat on my lawnchair on my ground floor balcony and tried to seem awake, a small chickadee hopped from branch to branch on my balcony srubs.
So uncareing that I was there... Yes it is a beautiful day.  But God... it is 8:30 and I always get up around 10 or 11.

Sitting there,  I realize that Minne, the cat often wakes me with a little touch on my shoulder at about this time..  I am always mad for being waken and tell him if he does not stop I am going to lock him out of the bedroom.  He was just saying... "It's a beautiful day... get up"
So not a lot to say... Hoping these few words show that I am happy to be alive.  I think of Gisele and how she is so happy with her various sites of funny pictures.  Why this realization?
Well, a lot happens from day to day.  And I remember this morning when I worked at Pascal Hardware in the computer room... Just fixing one problem after another.  I remember being told when I woke up in the morning... "Tony called last night and you said this.. you said that"  because I was on call 24 hours for the computer room operators.  I would wake up.. answer the "need help" call and go back to bed.  I would never had known what I said if I was not told at breakfast.
The last three days have been like that... One problem after the other..  Now on a computer with 256 Mbytes of memory.. Yes 256,000,  not 1 or 2 Gigabyte (1,000,000,000,000) like my other computer which bombed.  I had to rebuild this old Celeron Dell to get back on the net.  Had to move harddrive to and from as I used the computer to access the internet and get driver loading programs and then put the new 40Gbyte harddisk back to load it to run.  Anyway... One problem after the other..
And of course, last night was like that.  My night was so bad I was dreaming of driving a bus and or taxi and I think some people were just trying to create problems.  Like the women between me and the front window (I don t know why there were 3 or 4 rows of chairs there)  who keep waving her arm until I could not see where I was going.  I even had a troublesome son-in-law in the dream who was trying to steal some newly painted bicycles.
So I am happy to be up... Listen to that Robin.. He / She was so happy..  The day is beautiful  (a nice bright sunny day)  One day to payday... but so many raison to be happy to be alive.
And if anyone calls to tell me about the problems of the world, which I don t care to know, I am just too busy to answer the phone.   Do I care that a lot of athletics will be tested for drugs... I am so happy I do not have a TV..  I wonder if when the people in the news spend all day telling about the bad things in the world; if they hear that robin in the morning
Thank you God   for the new day..    Thank you all for the Love I feel

"Hunting Ethic" - Quebec Moose Hunting Well, here in New Brunswick, I will not have the fall Moose hunt which I so looked forward to, while I was living in Quebec. The photo (above) is a capture from a NovaScotia.com video shows the moose walking up this hill side while tourists sit within yards. To the animal lover and anti-hunting advocate, such experience are memorable moments. In this video, (photo left, click the photo plse) the mother moose actually sniffs and moves the hunter's arrow, before moving off. Often we hunters. have close calls and heart beating moments, as this video shows. The hunter's ability to remain calm and motionless must have been quite remarkable. I can not experience this because I have a high blinking eye movement and the white of the eyes during a blink, will draw an alarm from deer and Moose. Although I as a traditional bowhunter, (one piece wood bow) have had a 3/4 ton bull withing 10 feet. ( I did not shoot because when I raised my bow (72" long) to draw and shoot I felt the tip of the bow in the branches overhead. Hunters (or especially bowhunters) will refuse to shoot for reason which we call "Hunting Ethic". And we believe, we will get another chance with a bigger or better situation.
We decide, and are proud of our personal ethic, to not shoot because, as this hunter did; (in the video) would have liked the mother and calf to pass without sounding an alarm call and destroy the hours of preparation and motionless already invested in the experience. (I bet his joints are sore and he step back and sat down after this mother and calf moved off).
Now, I will do a personal comment here.... We hunters have our own ethic and therefore do not attempt a probably unsuccessful archery shot. But Game Management Agencies must also understand that in charging a large hunting fee, limited number of permits and short seasons ; only cause hunters to attempt everything to harvest their query. Even if they must do it illegally. During my days of rifle hunting or mixed hunts on Provincial Reserves; I have heard a lot of hunters comments. Things like.. "With the number of years I have attempted to have my name drawn, I will bring home my moose"... or "You are not a true hunter unless you kill your Moose."
Game Management is to make decisions for the stewardship of our wildlife not the most profitable method of bleeding the hunter purse.
New Brunswick Moose Hunting Season (2009) was as per a draw and at a cost of $472.34 for non-resident and 81.36$ resident or 41.81$ for seniors. The 2009 Season was a three days weekend (Sept 24-26) with the total number of Moose harvest listed as 2,341 moose of 6000 permits sold.. Seems there are a lot of Moose in New Brunswick or at least everyone is quite successful. (Is these kills Legal or Illegal ??) In 2010, a Moose Nonresident License Draw for 100 tickets will be available for $40 to enter the draw. online or by phone ( 1-800-994-2666). Each hunter may enter once per year with results available after May17 and must be purchased by June 11, 2010. (I believe non successful draw applications are also not refundable)

Magnetic Hill - Magnet or Magic Moncton N.B. without the tourist attraction of Magnetic Hill just north on the Trans Canada; is like a fish out of water. Do you know that there are 17 countries in the world which have the optical illusion of cars going up the hill. And of course, the Americans have the most with 21 separate locations. (Wikipedia) Some are called Magic Hill and others Magnetic Hill. Here I will show photos and YouTube.com links to Northern Ireland, India, Australia and of course Moncton. , Most important if you read all, you will find the unexplainable reason for why vehicles are drawn uphill, so please enjoy. Also, this summer a lot of cars will have the white paper on their car-dash, (in the top Moncton Hill photo) because this is a receipt for the $5 now charged to tourists visiting this always-was-free ride-up the Moncton Magnetic Hill. Maybe the tourists will instead decide to visit one of 6 locations in Canada with a magnetic hills experience. . Video are watched by clicking the small photos)
The sign (top right) is from India's "Ladakh: Magnetic Hill" Interesting, in both videos the motorcyclist almost gets hit.
Well, Moncton cannot be a Martimes tourist must-visit city, unless we visit Magnet Hill just north of the city. When I was a teenager and visited Moncton's Magnetic Hill; I remember the Old Restaurant on the left with the huge Sign showing a Magnet. The open section of the Horseshoe Magnet pointing down towards the hill; sort of like if it was pulling the cars back up the hill. To us kids, we really thought that magnet had power and expected that it would pull us into it "U". Kids are like that. And some of the videos seem to likewise have kids' comments to explain the excitement.
" Aussi a Chartierville il y a une "Route Magique" Le seul reference je trouve etait "Hill starts at intersection of Bowen Mountain Road and Westbury Road ... des Gardes and Renaison near the village Les Noës, known as route magique"

France, two basic Sites Route Magique, Deux angles, en haut et en bas
" et deuxieme local "La curiosité de Lauriol"

Now how does it work. Well, the 2010 Best Visual Illusion award was presented in Naples to Kokichi Sugihara, a japanese scientist of Meiji Institute for Adv Study of Mathematical Sciences. The video must beseen to appreciate the illusion,so enjoy it and all the following magnetic hill experiences (Videos).
Australia - Orroroo, A small town of 543 in South Australia won't have a lot of tourist. Two others in NSW are "Gravity Hill" (Moonbi) and Magnetic Mountain (Bowen). In the video on Youtube, the auzzie says "O Weeell, tht wos xsitng" and " javeha ff card" Of course, at the video start it does not work and comments are worst the watching.

Ireland's Magic Hill And Electric Bray. Here's three video. Laugh, laugh,
> who's driving the car, and Mourne Mountain with Watch the hill guys.

Shediac- Bay of Fundy Beaches Waiting to learn if my grand kids will make a visit to Moncton this summer where they can discover the unique maritime beaches. Like Shediac Parlee Beach (photo)
First of importance are Tides. Within a one hour drive south to the Bay of Fundy; once can see them raise as high as 12.5 meters (Bay of Fundy 12.9 high to 01.1 Low).
Such great seascene as Hopewell Rock just south of Moncton show clearly how much the water raises as we walk on the ocean Floor. Of course the beaches might required that you walk for miles to reach the water. This is the tidal change which is the result for the Tidal Bore we see here in Moncton and in the Hopewell Rock composite picture.
Only 30 miles northeast are the Shediac-P.E.I coast where the Tides are of only one meter differences allow for sandy beaches with little water level change. (Northumberland Strait tide change of 1.3meter high and 00.3 Low Tide) Now one can see completely different wonders of Nature. Scenes such as the Bouctouche Sand Dunes are unique in their development because they are in the middle of the Northumberland Strait and shifting all the time. At the Irving Eco-Centre, visitors can walk on the beaches or for miles through the sand dunes on eco-friendly pathways. Of course, PlanetWare.com, describes this area as "One of the few remaining sand dunes on the northeast coast of North America is preserved here. The dune extends across Bouctouche Bay and this provides a vital marine habitat. Various research projects such as dune monitoring and restoration; an insect inventory; a butterfly count; a migratory shorebird survey; (even) a piping plover monitoring project are conducted on the site."
But all along this coast from Shediac to the Quebec border, one finds unique natural sights worst the time to make a proper visit. Soon I will do a Blog entirely on Shediac where we will go all summer, but for now.. it will wait.
For the travelling tourist going across Canada, the Transcanada leaves Moncton for the border . The flat areas and tidal changes between the two provinces of New Brunswick and Nova Scotia (about 70 miles south) toward Sackville NB and Amherst NS. can be seen with all its unique natural scenes. The Tantramar Marshes were unique in the earlier days of sailing ships and even for hay feed for the army horses of the 1st WW and Troy Johnstone's photographs show this beauty.
"In the 1880s, the isthmus (of chignecto, of which the marsh is the major part)was the site of one of Canada's earliest mega-projects: construction of a broad-gauge railway from the port of Amherst to the Northumberland Strait at Tidnish for carrying small cargo and passenger ships. This ship railway was never successfully operational, and construction was abandoned shortly before completion." Wilipedia.org
This short 2 to 3 miles of marsh railway was thought to prevent ships from going all around Nova Scotia in order to enter the St-Laurence River and Seaway. Today , scenes of the remains of theseTwin Bridges can be seen as they cross creeks and water in many marsh areas and along beachs access approach roads.

Moncton.. Boot and River and Hockey. Well, News over the last weeks in the Moncton Area has been about these three major things.. Look at that beautiful blue water of the Petitcodiac River.
And with the causeway open for only a month or so it is clear to see the muddy color of the river changing to a more beautiful site along the banks of Moncton. Probably, the color or when the larger ships docked on the Moncton River edge. Bravo.. Nature has won one battle against Man.

The boot, or Wheel Clamp has capture cars all spring, and opinion about the device and its legal argument has been discussed on the radio and in the newspapers. Where private parking lots in the downtown area have been using the Boot and car owners charged $75 to get it removed; everyone has had their stories. Almost every day there has been something, from Lawyers in Fredericton (N.B.'s Capital) and Moncton declaring it as illegal; to the Riverview, the hub-city twin, wanting to pass an Municipal bylaw which bans the boot. Latest, has been a Downtown organization concern with the effect such parking problems with have on summer tourist; creating signs for all private Parking Lots.

Then there has been the Hockey finals. Montreal in the Stanley Cup has found a lot of support in this Acadian city with two and three MC banners flying from cars. But most hockey attention has gone to the Moncton's Quebec Major Junior Hockey
League, the "TigerCats". After having won the Eastern division against the St-John (NB) Dogs, they are now fighting for the Memorial Cup in Brandon Man. Here the four top teams, each winning their regional finals fight for the 2010 Memorial Cup. Tonight's Brandon Wheat Kings and last years cup winner, Windsor Spitfires start play; with Moncton Wildcats meeting the Calgary Hitman tomorrow.

But my biggest excitement is the Petitcodiac River which I remember from my youth as a major attraction. I knew the Magnetic Hill and was happy to see with all the development there with Zoo, Concert area and Tourist attractions has not changed the Hill. You can still without charge, drive your car to the hill and allow it to roll back up the hill. But where it is normal for me and my companion to go down to the Petitcodiac along the edge of downtown Moncton and watch the Tidal Bore Arrival. It has always been a muddy river, whether downtown or up one of the inlets. Today, the Tidal Bore is higher and in today's paper we have a photo from up river where the river water is blue. Yes Blue...!!! One says we are seeing History as these changes occur. It is good to see the difference in water level, the tidal Bore size, but even greater is the excitement of the fish which are being found in the river.

I can remember as a child in Springhill walking back from Oxford with fishing rods full with Gaspereau caught on the river there. It is a bony fish but about 12 to 18 inches long and does it migration at this time of the river. To those who may have in the old days saw the waters black with Salmons now the Gaspereau will do the same migration treat. Every kid deserve the excitement of a Jigged Gaspereau running up and down the stream or river. If my daughter has experienced that in their youth instead of pond trout fishing; they might still be interested in the outdoors activity.

NEW BLOG IMAGE. One would think that a photo of 1800 ships at the Moncton Wharf on the Petitcodiac River is the OLD. Not so.. This Blog was started several years ago and titled "Our Invisible World"because I wrote about things I saw in daily life which we ignore to be Socially Correct. Today, I will change the image and page structure and the contents will be for my grandchildren and their parents. Writing about Moncton N.B., on Canada's East coast and my life of retirement back home where I grow up. Enjoy, I will attempt to do two entries a week and may even throw in a little French (Acadian live around this area)

The Moncton Newspaper is the Times & Transcript and recent news has been about the recent "Release" of the Petitcodiac River. Blocked just above Moncton by a Causeway which allowed traffic across the to Riverview on the opposite bank and forming what some called Lake Petitcodiac This photograph shows why the river has been nicknamed "Chocolate River" and we must go to the Telegraph Journal (St-John) for the whole story. (Click Link for News Story)

Here are some extracts.

"In the early 1970s, people stopped fishing the Petitcodiac because there were no fish," Victor LeBlanc says. "Before, you could go out and catch maybe 200 shad, now you might catch 10."

"LeBlanc, a retired school teacher from Belliveau Village, near Memramcook, is one of only about a dozen people who still have a licence to fish the Petitcodiac,.....

His father and grandfather were among as many as 150 fishermen who had licences to fish on the Petitcodiac prior to the construction of the causeway. The main fisheries at the time were Atlantic salmon, gaspereau, smelt, sturgeon and shad."

Today, we buy a Tim Horton Coffee and go down beside the old Moncton Wharf (which is no longer there) and watch for the Tidal Bore. When the Bay of Fundy Tides rises faster than it can get up the river it creates a wave running up the river followed by the higher tide. Betty and I watched for 6 months almost 2 or 3 times a week before seeing it.

The Telegraph Journal writes "Fort Folly First Nation Chief Joe Knockwood recalls the tidal bore that came up the Petitcodiac and the loud rumbling sound that signalled its arrival."
"It was high. It was beautiful," he says. "It's one big wave coming upriver and that's the tide coming in "¦ you can hear it. It's just rolling, rapid. It's a lot of noise like a river tearing a huge wave."
Fort Folly First Nation is located downriver from Moncton just outside of Dorchester.

God keep you..

HALLOWEEN - How much is Invisible to you about this holiday or all that we see.
Yesterday I was cutting and making a "Jack O Lantern". We see them but never think of the work of making them... I know that the inside must be well cleaned as when the light shines through the side it will show all knife marks or difference in thickness. I know to keep the seeds (we will make christmas brouch) or keep the scooped out pumpkin for making a jam.

Last week my girlfriend "Betty" and I went to the neighbouring town, and at the information office there were about 10 women painting faces on about 100 or more pumpkins. This was the fund raising for the organization against Violence against Women and Children. Their pumpkins for $10 was a great idea and each person was doing a different color or part of the face..( circle of the eye. red of the blush on the cheek, or black of the eyelashes)

Invisible is all the preparations that actual go on. From the stores preparing for the season to the decorations on individual homes... or even the purchase of candy for the visitors.
What is Halloween...
First Wikipedia, the best internet free encyclopedia describes Halloween (also spelled Hallowe'en) is an annual holiday celebrated on October 31.
Where Hallowe'en came from the Celtic festival of Samhain, a word from Old Irish [ˈsaṽɨnʲ] meaning "summer's end", is really a celebration or festival held at the end of the Harvest season. This time of the year was seen as the major contribution to the modern celebration of Halloween while many scholars believe that the date was the beginning of the Celtic year.

Have you heard the celtic spoken.. I remember many years ago Chris from Ireland , with whom I worked gave me some expressions.. Well the only celtic we hear today is spoken is remote areas of Ireland and out crops of Irish (like the Cape Breton Island, here in Nova Scotia. A lot of Irish graveyards are there.. then there is the scottish... check out Marie's page where she writes "Ciad Mile Fáilte ( Prounced ....(KEY-UT-ME-LA FALCHUH).)
These poeple wheather in Cape Breton or on their home land... their language remain invisible as they are proud of their history.. Probably more their family history than able to trace their ties to Ireland but still ... Invisible to the outside world.
Read about the "History of Celtic Peoples" and we get suggests that after the expansion of the Roman Empire, Celtic culture had become restricted to the British Isles and lands surrounding the Irish Sea, or both sides of the area of the English Channel. Halloween becomes the remainder that these people existed... or are visible ... for one night or a few days of decorations.
A very good movie was produced about the pagen celebrations of the goddress of life and death and how when chistianity came to England the feast of Samhain was converted to All Saints' Day and Hallowe'en. The feast of Samhain was also called the Féile Moingfhinne ie "Festival of
Mongfind", where Mongfind (mod.Irish spelling Mongfhionn) was a goddess the pagan Irish worshipped.
Then there is the meaning and history of the holiday of Hallowe'en

All Saints' Day (officially the Solemnity of All Saints and also called All Hallows or Hallowmas), often shortened to All Saints, is a solemnity celebrated on November 1 in Western Christianity, and on the first Sunday after Pentecost in Eastern Christianity in honor of all the saints, known and unknown.

Poetry and Blogs - There is an invisible world of emotions written in Love poems, hidden through-out time and place. The site Poetry.com has as it Love poem of the day, ther choice for the 28th feb was one of the greatest written by William Shakespeare. These are not as invisible as poems written by individuals like my self or an e-mail friend who express her heart felt lost. First, my own effots at poetry when I wrote a good bye to a samoian friend,
Although it appears we had a love between us we were telephoning only and had feelings...??; and we felt we were just "very dear friend" So from Samoa to a princess named Lovey or To 'oa in her language...
.
Fa'afetai... sa tofa To'oa
.

Writing to no-one because its my heart speaking,
A letter never to be send, filled with thoughts seeking.
You have been lovey, a part of my life in so many ways
And you I will love forever, and know the lost every day
.

As we walked that sandy beach of friendship and knowing,
Leaving our love's footprints in the sand for a breeze blowing.
I saw the sun rise and cross the sky and our signs were there
until the waves slowly washed away any hurt of love of yere.

.
As the sea crosses those sands and others walk those paths
I will know only my memories of, it was us that walked there last.
For I shall not see that distance shore and sands again
because the love gained and lost, is now a hope on a wind.

.
The last words spoken were in your language of culture and way
tolafa alofa.. without reply..
i must leave a fa'afetai... tofa to'oa goodbye
As memories of a kind loving soul which passed and touched my 'ulafades
like wave removed footprints in the sand of Tafua

.
John Summer 2008

Next Linda writes on a site Posted: 10/11/2008 She writes of her pain when everything has fallen apart and her love has left.

The Fruit of Agony Linda Nilsson-Hall

In the days that I have loved you
And you in love with me
I smiled for you,I bent for you
For your heart I could then see
.
We made some fun together
In all the things we done,
We shared our bed, excreta
Our hearts shone like the sun
.
My whole life was so protected
In the love I had for you
From all the pain that is in the world
Just knowing that, you loved me too
.
Things were good and we were fine
No matter where we went
Though, the more you spent your time online
I was losing my content
.
I knew that I would lose you
As you developed a new desire
It felt just like you took my heart
And threw it in a fire
.
I’ve since then tried to reason
Any neglect that I have done
Yes, I see that I’m not perfect
So, you found another One
.
I pleaded for your mercy
If I did you any wrong
Thou’ you decided you would leave me
Said; with me, you don’t belong
.
I groaned as you released me
And in my heart…I died
The agony of letting go
I cried, I cried, I cried
.
Since that day, I decided
To pick up all my tears
They transformed into diamonds
Of, memories in all our years
.
Now, I have forgiven you
And set you free from me,
The fruit of all that agony
Your true heart, now I see
.
Now, years seem like a moment
That we had and that is fine
Thank you for the time we shared
With you the sun did shine
.
Now, my days are cloudy,
But, I’m not losing hope
There is still a pulse within me
Though in my heart, I grope.

Wireless Internet - Here in the town of Moncton, N.B. the downtown is now reconized as a free wireless area. Sit on any park bench or live close enough and you will find the internet at your door.
But what happens when you are outside of this downtown area. This is an invisible world, as when I was living in the old apartment I could see about 4 wireless sites.. Three with security access established and one open. Now I have moved across town and there is about 12 secure wireless coming up on my D-LINK window. The only one which is free is a DEFAULT and it is so over used (by everyone around) that it seems to be never working..
What is invisible is the fact that someone who had direct dial internet service has changed to a Wireless routier thinking they would get more better reception and especially be able to use the new portable. However, in not setting up the connection with security access codes; anyone can access and does... There more slow for them
What about, us who do not pay wireless and decide to use this free wireless.. Yes, we can go with the portable down town to the free wireless area... but there is an imaging invisible world..
Because so many, like myself are not paying for the internet and using an open wireless. When the reception is bad, they do as I did on Friday.. Call the local ISP to see about getting a line installed. Now they have a wireless connection... and not set up with security so I now have a new very good response wireless connection. How long it will last before all the others that were there before redefine their DEFAULT setting..
To the individual who just installed the new connection.. I say thank you and then go back to using it. (oh by the way.. this blog is being done on the free computer net service at the local library

Edge of the Cliff - When I was working in Computer Management and Disaster Recovery; we had an expression. "So often we walk to the edge of Disaster and look over the cliff, and back away..only to forgot how close we came to falling"
Sometimes, blogs are written to release personal emotions and this blog the day after christmas was a long blog about the absence of friends at this time of reunion. However, several days afterward it was deleted to the above few lines.
Since that time, and on my birthday in January; I had one of those Disaster which will always be a memory. Today, the end of February, I am updating this blog with these comments.
On my birthday, as I came home from work and expected to go to dinner of "Fish and Chips" I had a fire in my kitchen which destroyed my apartment. Today, the end of february, I am into another apartment and that fire is history. (OR IS IT ??)
Today, I had to come home from work early because I had an emotion panic attack about that fire. It was that I thought I saw smoke (and I did smell smoke) coming out of a storage area and I called FIRE FIRE FIRE. But no one answered and I was surprise as I am sure that many had heard me. It was not a joke or false alarm. It was that my co-workers were cleaning out the large heating furnace and the sout and dust was picked up by the ventilation system and carried several Storage areas away. This created an appearance of smoke and certainly smelled fire.
So I saw smoke rolling out the top of the Delivery Bay doors and Yelled.. But no one came or answered and I had to go investigate myself..afterwhich, I then had to walk across the yard to another work area to get someone.. (although there were several poeple who certainly hear me call)
I came home from work early because at dinner I end thinking a lot and getting very upset of "What if there was a fire?" and in my kitchen fire I was trapped upstairs and then after the ambulance drive I spend overnight in the hospital for smoke inhaleation.
My following 10 days off work was filled with several recalls and the thought of how lucky I was to have got out of the apartment. So this recall and panic attack was really a serious recall of the events and no one answered because they all knew that the cleaning of the furnace causes that smell and appearance. But to me the fire was real..
So we do sometime remember how close we came to disaster.. (Updated 27th Feb 2009)

Budweiser Beer and Sales - What a strange Blog title under this "Our Invisible World"
Well, I just watched these Clyesdale Horses harnessed as the team and hooked them up to the famous 8 horse team, Budweiser Beerwagon. (photo is from Moncton Times & Transcripts)/div>

It was great to see these beautiful animals which were unloaded from 3 large Budweiser advertised Tandons as they arrive in Moncton.

Behind the BAY and Sobey on Main Street,I and several hundred people watched. (photo is from Kansas City newspaper where the same wagon team is also on exhibit ..today... yes today...there is more than one team)

It was great to listen to the comments of everyone in the crowd. Like always, some know it all, even someone to make loud quick noise to spook the horses, but mostly parents showing their children, the curious and then some old folks (like me) with memories...
I know horses and love horses because as a school boy I was responsiblie for seven work horses, before breakfast and the school bus. To stand for an hour and a half watch them harness and hookup the gaint clyesdale horses... was pure joy.. (only thing missing was a friend to share it with.??)
What is strange of this...in OUR INVISIBLE WORLD, is that they are in Riverview (across the river from Moncton today) and in Riverside MO. at the same time as reported in the Kansas City News. As we stood there with the belief that this was a unique opportunity to see this team, and being told it was the first time it has ever been west of Montreal.. my research for a photo on the internet showed a Newpaper article that August 20th they are in Kansas City until Sunday (tomorrow)Actually there are 5 teams and wagons travelling the country and Anheuser-Busch (parent company of Budweiser Beer) own 275 clydesdales at 9 stables of breeding, training and retirement.,
Last Year, I retired with the idea I would work on a horse farm in norther Ontario...it didn't work out and I do miss my horses. So, as you can believe, I valued this opportunity to see them. Would one pay to see them? Yes, when these horses visited the Lake County Fair in Arlington Heights IL in august 2004 tickets were sold at $4.95.. for enterance to the 3 shows at the county fair.

To enjoy how a big clyesdale can be such a heart breaker, to us older folks who remember horses. But to all young at heart, I offer you a video of a young clyesdale on the Youtube budweiser commercial.
It is surprising what one finds when they search for a photo. Would you believe that there is a Ralph Lauren Clysdale , a beautiful pair of white suedes for $222.

INVISIBLE HOME TOWN - I have lived here for 6 months and have yet to see the area.. Moved to this town only 30minutes from my home town and never saw the beauty of the area like I did yesterday. After 30 years away, I have returned home..but not until I stood on the beach (Samauri Beach) and put my feet into the water of the Atlantic Ocean which comes up the Bay of Fundy and becomes the Chignecto Bay and mouth of the Petitcodiac River.

Moncton N.B. sit on the shore of this River and is the home of the previous Tital Bore. (This 2 foot wall of water coming up the river as the highest tides in the world changes so fast that the river can not keep it raising water pace; is quite the thing to see.)

I meet a friend for Coffee and we drove up the river toward the area of Cove Enrage where one can see Nova Scotia across the water and the Lighthouse of the area offers a exciting view of the coast line. Here between the high cliffs of what later makes Ffundy National Park I was able to take my shoes off and walk the rocky shoreline to the water...The tide was out and like the above photo quite a walk. But 30 years ago I left Nova Scotia for Quebec and now I was home. But until (now) I put my feet into the Bay of Fundy (Altantic Ocean) I did not feel that I was home. I will remember this moment always. A very good and dear friend did this for me.. and she will always be special .
